Binding of Reelin to its receptors induces Dab1 tyrosine phosphorylation and stimulates the activation of Src family tyrosine kinases and Akt serine/threonine kinase (Howell et al, 1999; Beffert et al, 2002; Ballif et al, 2003; Benhayon et al, 2003). Src, Fyn and Yes kinases are involved in Dab1 phosphorylation while phosphorylated Dab1 enhances their activity, suggesting a selfregulating tyrosinesignaling cascade (Arnaud et al, 2003; Bock and Herz, 2003). A possible downstream effector of phosphorylated Dab1 is glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK3), which is downregulated in response to Reelin signaling (Beffert et al, 2002; Ohkubo et al, 2003).On track to serve as Baker's 2013 valedictorian, Wagner currently leads her class with a weighted GPA of 4.65. She has also been active in multiple extracurricular activities, many of which are designed to positively impact the lives of children.
