Sitting on the market as the affordable, everyman cousin to Yeezy’s neo-moonboots, adidas’s flagship, futuristic silhouette is arguably the single product that’s raised the brand’s sneaker game to new levels in the space of 12 months. The Tubular initially took design hints from the success of the Y-3 Qasa, reworking the overall aesthetics into a democratic release. While all Tubulars share certain similarities ? the midsole EVA’s twin densities, its lighter feel, its sock-like fit, and the layering of fabrics on the upper ? frontlineshop’s moody editorial highlights the subtle changes seen since it first came on the scene.
The Tubular has graduated from its original neoprene runner to include the Tubular X Knit, available in a monochrome all-black or white, as well as blue. frontlineshop also highlight the Weave variations, seen here with the low cut Tubular Weave in green, white or black.
